This site answers one kind of question instantly: how many days until a holiday or season? Each countdown has its own page with a big answer, a live timer to the second, the dates for the next several years and the rule that sets the date.

How it works: counts are calendar days from today, using your device's date and time zone, so the countdown ends at midnight where you are. Season pages count down to the exact equinox or solstice moment.

Sources: federal holiday dates follow 5 U.S.C. 6103; Mother's Day and Father's Day follow 36 U.S.C. 117 and 36 U.S.C. 109; Easter dates are calculated with the Gregorian method and checked against the U.S. Census Bureau's Easter dates table; equinox and solstice times come from the U.S. Naval Observatory.
